Tanya Palta/New York 2015
Tanya Palta
Tanya Palta is a fine arts photographer, an interior stylist and a visual curator. She photographs everyday objects, architecture and landscape to create a visual experience, which is uniquely artistic and multifarious.
With the technique of exposing the same frame multiple times, her work is an exploration of boundaries between representation and abstraction. Through her photography, she aims to achieve a visual vocabulary of elements which crackle with light, shadow, and texture.
Tanya Palta's work resides in many private offices and homes, and her biggest project till date was for the US EMBASSY NEW DELHI. The works avoided the trap of resorting to the cliches that one generally sees in photographs documenting India, and hence the collection was widely appreciated.
Apart from photography, DESIGN remains another passion, as she has studied interiors from NEW YORK SCHOOL OF INTERIOR DESIGN. Her love for design and visual culture helped her to make a successful transition from a design blogger to running her studio [a}nthologie-design , which focuses on furnishings, branding and interiors.
In Fall 2016, Tanya Palta also founded The Taara House , a boutique mountain lodge, which in its short span is winning accolades for successfully marrying hospitality with design.
